Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to read DGTULS and use our tools, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, zoom or other assistive technology.

Our goal#

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA.

What we do#

• Text alternatives (alt text) for meaningful images.
• Enough color contrast for text and buttons, in light and dark sections.
• Keyboard access to menus, search, forms and tools, with visible focus.
• Headings and landmarks that make pages easy to navigate with a screen reader.
• Pages that work when zoomed to 200% and on small screens.
• Captions or transcripts for videos we produce.

Known limitations#

Some third-party content, such as embedded videos, ads and social posts, may not fully meet these standards. Some older pages may still have issues we haven't found. We're working through them.

Tell us about a problem#

If something on DGTULS is hard to use, contact us and include the page link and what happened. We'll reply within 5 business days and work on a fix.
