The DGTULS forum is a place to ask real questions about phones, apps, AI and the tech you use every day, and to get honest answers from people who use it too. These rules keep it useful and friendly.
The short version#
- Be helpful. Answer the question that was asked, and share what you actually tried.
- Be respectful. Disagree with ideas, not people.
- No spam. Disclose any connection to what you recommend.
- Protect privacy: yours and everyone else's.
- Keep it legal and safe.
1. Ask good questions#
- One question per topic, with a clear title. "Pixel 9 battery drains overnight on Wi-Fi" beats "Help!!"
- Say which device, app or plan you use, and the version if you know it.
- Say what you already tried and what happened. Screenshots help, but blur anything personal.
- Search first. Someone may have asked already.
- When your question is answered, mark the answer or reply with what worked, so the next person can find it.
2. Give good answers#
- Share real experience. "I've used this for six months, and here's what happened" is gold. Say so if you're guessing.
- Link to official sources for prices, specs and policies when you can.
- Be specific: settings paths, versions, steps.
- No AI copy-paste dumps. If you use an AI tool to help write an answer, check it, cut it to what's useful and say you used it. Unchecked AI answers get removed.
3. Be respectful#
- No personal attacks, insults, slurs, threats or harassment.
- No hate speech or content that attacks people for who they are.
- "iPhone vs Android" debates are welcome. Name-calling isn't.
- Don't post sexually explicit, violent or shocking content.
4. Promotion and affiliate links#
- Disclose any connection to a product, company or link you share ("I work for…", "This is my app"). Undisclosed promotion is removed.
- No affiliate links or referral codes, unless a forum category specifically allows them.
- Self-promotion: sharing your own project is fine in Build With AI, once, with a real description. Repeated posting isn't.
- Deals: post in the Deals forum, with the price, the store, the date and a direct link.
5. Privacy and safety#
- Never post personal information: yours or anyone else's. That includes phone numbers, addresses, account details, passwords, license keys and private messages.
- Don't share how to break into accounts, devices or systems you don't own, or how to get around security, DRM or paid features.
- Security problems: if you found a vulnerability in a product, report it to the company first. Don't post working exploits.
- Scams: never ask for or send money, gift cards or crypto through the forum.
6. Keep it legal#
- Only post content you have the right to share. Don't post pirated software, cracked apps or copyrighted material.
- Credit sources and quote briefly, with a link.
7. How moderation works#
- Report a post with the report link, or contact us. We review reports, usually within a day.
- What we may do: edit formatting or titles, move topics to the right forum, hide or remove posts, close topics and give warnings.
- New members: your first post with a link may wait for a quick check before it appears. It's an anti-spam measure, not a judgment.
- Repeated or serious breaks (spam, threats, scams, posting personal information) lead to suspension or a permanent ban, sometimes without a warning.
- Disagree with a decision? Contact us with the link and why. A person will look at it again.
8. Your content#
You own what you post. When you post, you let DGTULS display it, and we may quote helpful answers in our articles, newsletter or social pages, credited to your username. Details are in our Terms of Use. Forum posts are public and may appear in search engines.
Thanks for helping make this a useful corner of the internet.
