DGTULS may show ads and accept sponsorships to keep the site free. These rules apply to all of them.
Clear labels#
- Display ads are labeled "Advertisement".
- Sponsored articles, newsletter sponsorships and featured listings are labeled "Sponsored" at the top, with the sponsor's name.
- Sponsored links use
rel="sponsored".
Separation from editorial#
- Advertisers and sponsors don't see, review or influence our articles, reviews or rankings.
- Buying an ad doesn't buy coverage, a review or a better rating.
- Our editorial team decides what we write about, independently of who advertises.
What we don't accept#
Ads for scams, malware, "get rich quick" schemes, adult content, weapons, illegal products, or anything misleading. Ads must not look like DGTULS articles or system messages, and must not pop up over content or play sound automatically.
Programmatic ads (Google)#
Some ads are chosen automatically by ad networks such as Google AdSense. We use their controls to block categories we don't accept. If you see an ad that breaks these rules, tell us with a screenshot and the page link.
